The Coast of Maine - A Travel Review

Allow me to take you to the ocean shores of Maine today: for a quaint stay at the Oceanside Meadows Inn. It is everything charming and seaworthy in the shell of a cozy B&B! The main house was built by a ship's captain, and sits right across a small street from the sea. You can hear the foamy surf beating upon the rocks from the open windows of the Inn, and many rooms offer ocean views.-With 200 acres surrounding the Inn, there is plenty of exploring to do both on shore and off.

A four poster bed and other  antique furnishings graced our second floor room
Breakfast was divine! Stand out: pancakes with Maine blueberries
Lovely landscaping all over the grounds surrounding the Inn

One thing I really loved about this place was its location on the Acadia-Schoodic Peninsula. We were just a few minutes down the road from Acadia National Park, which is a stunning must-see...especially at sunset! We also enjoyed a local winery that was recommended by the Innkeeper, Ben. The can't grow wine grapes as far north as Maine, but they make a tasty plethora of fruit wines as diverse in flavor as one could hope for! Ben is a wealth of information and makes a great area tour guide - all you could ask for in a relaxed, exemplary Innkeeper. -

So if you're headed north for vacation, consider making the picturesque area of Acadia Schoodic a stop on your route! You won't regret it!
